Symantec Backup Exec for Exchange Mailboxes don’t appear on restore.

Thought I would add this since it took me a couple days to find this resolution.

This fix is for those that are backing up exchange to tape. We’ve been noticing that the exchange mailboxes would no longer catalog as they use to in the past.

To summarize the solution from the link above.

First – The default account must be the “system logon account”

Second – That account must be unique in the global catalog of your AD.
Which means if you type your account name in the to: field of a new message in outlook and you press check name. It should automatically resolve instead of giving you options to choose. If options do show, you need to create another account or rename the account that appears on the option.

These two steps fixed my issue. The last thread in the link above will have more solutions if your problem still persist.
